With broken hearts we said goodbye to our dear Sandra. Treasured wife and constant companion to Bob for 56 years. Endlessly loving mother to Russ (Fiona) and Lisa (Roland) and especially proud grandmother to Colin, Clare and the dogs.
Will be lovingly remembered by brothers and sisters Gary (Darlene), Barry (Valerie), Roxanne (Bruce), Marie and predeceased by Ronald and Irene. Loving aunt to Lori (Tom), Kathy (Mike), Karen (Tom), Tiffany (Angga), Bradley and joins Owen in spirit. Sandra enjoyed a zest for fun. Everyone’s “Mom” and always ready with a generous hand along with an unbelievable strength and determination to handle anything. Always putting others before herself. Her personality shone through her sense of humour and passion for cooking, knitting, yard work, walking and enjoying the outdoors while socializing with everyone.
She will be specially missed by extended family and lifelong friends and neighbours who she also considered family. Our “village” of friends who have been there for unending support-Michael Hill, Barbara Kalliokoski, Sherry Godden, Lorraine Forsyth, Kim Ludwig, Lindsay Rennie, and Andrew Hill. Our family expresses heartfelt thanks to Dr. Karen Antoniuk for her involved and sincere care as well as our care friends Rama, Eunice and Dina who have stood by us with loving support along our sometimes difficult journey.
We know Sandra is enjoying a nice “cupper” with old friends now. We will celebrate when we can all be safely together soon. “Live by the Sun and Love by the Moon”
