SKIBINSKI, Cathy (nee Susla) While doing what she loved the most, on a beach vacation with her family, Cathy Skibinski (nee Susla) passed away on April 18, 2019.
A strong and vibrant woman, her departure was unexpected. She shared many adventures with her loving husband and life partner Rick. She is loved by her mother Rose Susla (nee Danko), sister Diane Carnahan, and brother Joe Susla. Her predeceased father Walter Susla welcomes her with open arms and a cold beer. Cathy will always be adored by her children Adam (Olivia), Rebecca Beszlej (Mike), and Bryan. Most of all, Gramma/ Amma will be missed by her pride and joy: Jaqueline and Gabby Skibinski and Griffin and Zaylen Beszlej. She will be especially missed by her close knit extended family. In addition to nurturing an amazing family, Cathy influenced many lives during her teaching career.
The family wishes to thank the outstanding support received during this time, particularly the efforts of staff at the Palms of Pasadena Hospital.
In keeping with her philosophy that “It’s not the load that breaks you down, it’s the way you carry it,” the family invites those wishing to celebrate her life to join them at The Lakeview (180 Van Wagner’s Beach Blvd, Hamilton) on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 2 – 8 p.m. Funeral mass to follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, family invites donations to The Monastery of Mount Carmel Society of the Little Flower (Niagara Falls).
