SPURIA, Rosina (nee Ranalli) Peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Rosina passed away on April 18, 2019 in her 83rd year.

Beloved wife of Umberto, for 62 years. Cherished and devoted mother to Isolina (Bob) Kuzminski, Nino Spuria, Don (Leanne) Spuria, David (Connie) Spuria. Cara nonna to Nicholas and Lianna (Isolina), Julia, Fiona and Armando (Nino), Brandon and Jayden (Don), Leo and Malcolm (David). Cherished sister to the late Giovanni (late Lina), the late Candeloro (Fulgenzia), the late Vincenzo and Angelo (Ines) Ranalli. Dearest sister-in-law to Anna (late Armando) Lucignano, the late Maria and Germano Ricci, the late Giulia and Marcello Vannucci, the late Giuseppe and Maria Spurio. Loving Zia to many nieces and nephews.

Born in Forcella, Italy, Rosina and Umberto married and moved to Canada 60 years ago and began a new life built on faith, family and hard work. She carried these values her entire life through her devotion to the church, her love for her children and grandchildren and her selfless care and compassion for all. Her love for her family had no limits. Her gentle spirit and kind heart were always full of joy.

She found her calling as a Personal Support Worker providing in-home care, support and friendship to others in need. She was a strong woman to the end and with her beautiful smile and a wave of her hand she departed this world.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL HOME (43 Barton St. E). Vigil Prayers to take place at 8:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene’s Church (Queenston & Parkdale) on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington.
