Susan Marie McMahon

Susan left us peacefully on April 3, 2019 at the age of 65 after a courageous 8 year battle with cancer.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter Lindsay, her son-in-law Daryl, and her grandson Alex – the light of her life. She is survived by her sisters Teresa and Christine. Susan is predeceased by her parents William and Joan McMahon (Nee Kelly) and her beloved David Parker. She will be fondly remembered by her aunt Moira Dyer and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and of course her two cats Jack and Smokey.

In all of her work life she most enjoyed her 20+ years at the Metro Licensing Commission. Susan was known for being an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and a big fan of football, and she enjoyed and collected all things British. Her vibrant and amazing sense of humour and beautiful Sunday dinners will be greatly missed. Christmas won’t be the same without her delicious baking – which we are sure will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 11 am – 1 pm at Jerrett Funeral Home followed by the funeral service in the chapel at 1 pm. Burial is to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jeff Rothenstein and the team at Scarborough General Oncology, Sunnybrook Radiation team, the CCAC, St. Elizabeth’s at home caregivers, the amazing palliative care team at Providence Healthcare Scarborough, and finally Dr. Ed Weiss.

In memory of Susan donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
