THOMAS ALFRED (TOM) LATIMER

LATIMER, THOMAS (TOM) ALFRED It is with great sadness that we share news that Thomas (Tom) Alfred Latimer, retired TV production editor, died suddenly and unexpectedly on December 27, 2018.

Tom was born on January 1, 1941 in Calcutta, India to parents of Anglo-Indian heritage. His family immigrated to the UK in 1958, where he joined the BBC as a picture editor. In the late 1960s, he moved to Canada and worked in television for 40 more years, winning the admiration and affection of colleagues, editing diverse shows such as CTV’s Live It Up and W5, and Life’s Birth Stories. In 2004, he retired to a country property near Meaford, Ontario, devoting himself to ambitious and elegant landscaping projects.

Tom was a loving brother to David and Langford and a proud uncle of eight nieces and nephews: Sherry, Karen, Gail, Cathryn, Kevin, Kim, Robin and Darren. He will be profoundly missed.
