It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Thora on December 14, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in her 97th year. Beloved spouse of Basil (predeceased July 2016). Cherished and adored mother of Maria (Arnold) Richard (predeceased) (Connie), Debbie, Donna (Bryon) and Linda (Zen).
A loving Grammie to many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her talents were immense. Our mother was always busy knitting, crocheting, quilting, sewing, cooking and donating her treasures to the needy. She knitted many blankets for “Squares of Care” for the Cancer Society. She was an avid sports fan. Blue Jays, Hab’s and curling were her favorite. Her love for Christ was immeasurable and she cherished her Catholic faith.
She lived as a resident at the Meadowlands in Ancaster for the last eight years. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions a private family service and interment will take place. In Lieu of flowers, please consider donations to a charity of your choice.
