Tullio Greco

Tullio Greco

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 1, 2021 at the Hamilton General Hospital in his 91st year. Loving husband of Norma (nee Boniferro) for 65 wonderful years. Cherished father and father-in-law of Valdi and Christine Greco, and Mark and Frances Greco. Much loved Nunnu of Chiara, Vanessa, Lanaya, Tullio Jr. and Marcus. Dearest brother of Elena Porto. Tullio will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada and in Italy.

Special thanks to Dr. Ralph Profetto and the many other health professionals that provided care for Tullio. Tullio was a very kind and giving person that committed himself to many organizations including, Knights of Columbus and he was also the founder of Associazione Figlinese, Hamilton. Tullio was a recipient of many awards including, Ontario Hydro Suggestion Award, Certificate of Recognition from Father Mascari, as well as a Journeymen welder and pipe fitter, Local 67. Tullio devoted his time to his church, St. Anthony of Padua and worked as an Usher for many years. Tullio’s love for soccer was reflected through coaching the children’s Youth Soccer team of St. Anthony’s Parish.

He was also involved for 40 years in planning New Years parties at St. Anthony’s Church Hall. His favorite time of year was Christmas because it was spent with his family. He took great pride and joy in creating and displaying his nativity scene. Tullio was known to many as a well dressed man and had a great love for preparing prosciutto, capicola and other dried meats. Due to the current Covid 19 restrictions, a visitation and service has been reserved for the immediate family members.

If you wish to join us remotely, a livestream will be available on Tullio’s tribute page at www.friscolanti.com. In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Anthony of Padua Parish would be appreciated by the family.
