Valerie Catherine Edge Lummack

London Bridge is down. It is with great sadness and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Valerie Catherine Edge Lummack. Valerie, born and raised in Hamilton, ON leaves behind a devoted husband of 50 years, Dr Keith Lummack. Valerie also leaves behind her three cherished children; Jamie (Carmine), David (Leslie) and Catherine (Marc) and her five adored grandchildren: Austin, Noelle, Marcus, Jack, and Edge. She was the beloved daughter to the late James (Jim) and Mary Campbell; favourite sister to Dan Campbell.

Valerie was a fine Christian woman who was baptized in the Anglican Church, married in the United and spent the remainder of her days as a faithful member of Central Presbyterian Church in Hamilton and First Presbyterian Church in Lighthouse Point, Florida.

Valerie loved life. She was a kind and thoughtful person who was so much fun to be around and was adored by everyone who met her. Valerie loved to ski and was a staple in the town of Ellicottville, NY for decades. Valerie served proudly as a member and officer in the Junior League of Canada. Her kind and gentle spirit, paired with a genuine desire to help others manifested early in her life. Her commitment to the care of others shaped her education and directed her career towards nursing. Valerie was a proud registered nurse and for many years worked alongside her husband in his medical practice.

This amazing woman loved cats, reading, children’s literature, boating, hosting and entertaining (her parties remain legendary), travelling, the theatre, Pompano Beach, FL, all things French, pearls, and ice cream. Her friends were amazing and loyal, all of whom she cherished very much. With broken hearts, her family sends her off with love and light into eternal peace.

Our Pal Val, we will miss you forever and find comfort only in the knowledge that we will one day see you again. Rest In Peace Sweet Valerie. You are gone, but never forgotten and we will carry you in our hearts for the rest of our days.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
