VOLKOV, Pearl It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pearl, peacefully, in her 96th year on November 12th.
She was predeceased by her most beloved husband, Dr. Anatole Volkov (2000). Mother of Lisa of Toronto and Mark (Brenda) of Dundas. Devoted Grandma of Julia (Adam) of Guelph, Monica of Ottawa and Alexa, currently of Hobart, Tasmania. Sister of Michael Liebman (Joyce) of New York and predeceased by her adored little brother David (1970).
She was grateful for her long-time, caring friends Anne Marie and Ruth, and for all the help she got from Rita over the years.
Pearl held strong convictions and was always willing to fight for her rights and the rights of others.
As per Pearl’s wishes, there will be no Funeral or Memorial Service. Cremation has taken place.
Special thanks to the wonderful, caring staff at Sunrise of Burlington and to all of the dedicated home care workers who looked after her before her move to Sunrise, especially Roseanne and Mary.
Donations in Pearl’s memory can be made to the “Volkov Family Foundation for Prostate Cancer Research” at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Ontario.
