A. DAVID FULFORD
1926 – 2016
David passed away on August 21, 2016 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Barbara Ann (nee Lee) for 58 years and devoted father to the late Gary (husband to Christine), Gail, Susan and Janet Dava. He was a loving and proud grandfather to his seven grandchildren, Briana, Lee, Brandt, Cory, Connor, Rory and Harrison. David was born in Port Hope, Ontario, a younger brother to predeceased William and Edward. After being discharged from the army in 1946, he attended the University of Toronto. A few years after graduating David became involved in the industrial roofing business which evolved into the establishment of Lexsuco and Lexcan Roofing Ltd., expanding from North American markets to England, Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany. His son Gary assumed control upon his retirement. David’s other interests included being a board member of the Mississauga (Trillium) Hospital for 13 years and the Peel Health Council for three years. During his tenure at the Mississauga Hospital (Trillium), he was the director for construction of the first addition to the hospital in 1964. He was a longtime member of the Mississaugua Golf and Country Club and also a member of The Alpine Ski Club. He was an avid golfer, downhill and water skier and world traveller.
