ALFRED ERLING CLAUSEN December 12, 1915 – April 17, 2017 Peacefully at Scarborough General Hospital, with family by his side. Predeceased by his beloved wife Shirley Ruth (nee Corneil). Loving and devoted father to Carolyn Greszczyszyn and her husband Bill Brown; and Greg Clausen. Proud Grandpa to Stephen, Andrew and David. Great-Grandpa to Evan, Jonah and Harper. Predeceased by his siblings Elsa, Frederick, Norman, Emma and Joseph. Dear brother-in- law to Thelma, Millie and Barbara. Alfred will be remembered as an active member of the Bendale community, where he jogged and walked the ravines and met many longtime friends. He attended activities at the Birkdale Seniors Centre, he belonged to camera clubs and attended Glen Ayr and St. Andrew’s Churches. He volunteered for many years canvasing for the Canadian Cancer Society. He was always willing to help in any way he could. Alfred will be sadly missed by so many, but will remain forever in our hearts. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21st from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the McDOUGALL & BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 2900 Kingston Rd. (east of St. Clair). Funeral Service on Saturday, April 22nd at 1 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (115 St. Andrew’s Rd., Scarborough). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
