ALONZO JACK BROWN Ambrose Kent & Sons Ltd., Toronto April 9, 1924 – August 21, 2016 At the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, on Sunday, August 21, 2016 after suffering a serious fall and lung cancer, lived an active life of 92 years. He leaves his loving and devoted wife Phyllis (Cridland) of 68 years, his son Gregory (Lori) and predeceased by his sons, Steven, Donald (Lynda) and Kenneth (Wendy). Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren who he loved. Dear brother of M. Rhona Kerr, brother-in-law Jim Cridland (Karen) and Betty Bradbeer. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a 63 year member of Rameses Shrine and York Masonic Lodge. He had many friends who have passed on and was grateful for friendships in golf, The Kiwanis of Barrie and the jazz clubs. His passions were golf and music and he played trombone in Rameses concert band, as did his father. His day was made if he could make you laugh. A good man has passed and is now in peace. In lieu of a funeral, a donation has been made to Shriner’s Children Hospital, Montreal. A graveside service will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Wednesday, August 24th at 2:00 p.m. Meet at the cemetery office. A celebration of life will follow the service. Condolences may be placed at drivercremation.ca –
