ANDREWMARK HUNTLEY FRYER

FRYER, ANDREW MARK HUNTLEY January 13, 1988 – June 24, 2017 It’s with deep sadness that Andrew’s family announces his sudden passing on June 24, 2017. Andrew made his home in Toronto with his loving partner, Caley Gabriella Weyman. Andrew was a cherished son to Janice Katherine (nee Huntley) Fryer and brother to Alexandra Katherine Anne Fryer. Andrew was predeceased by his father, Mark Theodore Fryer and will be sorely missed by his many aunts and uncles, Lorraine Chilelli, Terry and his wife Sheila Fryer, Allison Huntley and her husband Mohsen Tashakor, Anne Marie Fryer and her husband Kelly de Grood and Stephen and his wife Ruthanne Fryer. Andrew was a wonderful cousin to Claire and Ava Chilelli, Sarah, Joel and Julia Fryer and Anna and Chloe de Grood. He will also be missed by Caley’s family, of which he became a dearly loved member. Andrew was born in Timmins and grew up in Waterdown before moving to Waterloo and graduating from Wilfred Laurier University. He was active in student politics and the Sigma Chi fraternity. After university he moved to Toronto to pursue his dreams. Andrew was a Renaissance man whose varied passions, caring helpful nature and enthusiasm for life, led him to have a wide circle of friends. Andrew’s love of sailing started when he was a child and drove him at age 14 to join the crew of the Tall Ship STV Pathfinder as a trainee. Over the next 4 years he was promoted through the ranks to Senior Watch Officer. Andrew studied hard and built his career in the Marine Industry, working on many different ships. His real passion, though, was sailing and he worked on the Bluenose Tall Ship as a deck hand and returned to the STV Pathfinder as a much loved Captain. Andrew was generous and loving. He loved bike rides and picnics, reading Science-Fiction and especially playing board games. He will be greatly missed. Family and friends may visit at KITCHING STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill Street North, Waterdown, Ontario, on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A celebration of Andrew’s life will be held later in the summer, date and location to be announced.
