MODICA, Angelo October 21, 1946 – June 12, 2017 With deep sorrow we announce that on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the Juravinski Hospital, we said our final goodbye to a dear husband and father, Angelo. Devoted and loving husband of 40 years to Rosalie. Cherished father to Joseph (Madeline Araujo) and Charles (Amanda Fraser). Caring brother to Calogera Sferrazza, Salvatrice Greco, Peter and Mary Lou Modica, Louise and Joe Spina and Mary and Romano Pecora. Dear brother-in-law to Liliana and Fred Ciprietti, Mary and Mario Caruso and Calogero Infurnari (Francesca). He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews who will remember their uncle Angelo with much love and affection. Predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Carmela Modica, his parents-in-law Calogero and Carmela Matteliano and his sister, Giuseppina Infurnari. Angelo was the proud founder and owner of Angelo’s Heating and Air Conditioning (1972-2010). He was passionate about his trade and took pride in his work. He was well respected by all who knew and worked with him. He was diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) in 2009. He fought a long and brave battle with this devastating neurological disease, with courage, dignity and strength. He has left a large void in our lives but will forever remain in our hearts. We want to thank all of those who helped care for Angelo during his time of struggle with MSA. Our heartfelt thanks go to Dr. John Corsini, Dr. Matteo Castelluzzo, the PSWs from St. Elizabeth, the Bayshore nurses, Grace Villa, and the doctors and nurses from St. Joseph’s and the Juravinski Hospitals. Visitation at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E. (near James) on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Vigil prayers Thursday at 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at All Soul’s Church on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington.
