CORNACCHIA, Angiolina (nee Guerierri) Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Friday, July 28, 2017, surrounded by her loving family in her 94th year. Cherished wife of the late Ercolino for 57 years. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Louisa and Larry Smith, Lino Cornacchia, Lorena and Giuseppe Ricci. Adored Nonna of Krista-Louise (Elliot), Jessica, Angelica (Mo), Melissa (Tyler), Natasha (Dion). Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Serafina, the late Giuseppe, Alfonso, Biaggio, Assunta and Louisa, Ersilia, the late Vitale, Domenico, Gabriele, Maria. Angiolina will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Italy, Venezuela and Canada. Special thanks to the C.T.U. Central Medical team at St. Joseph’s Hospital for the endless care they provided for our mother, too many names to mention. Angiolina came to Canada in 1958 to start a new life. Mamma was a devoted wife and mother and she adored her five loving granddaughters. Angiolina had a passion for cooking that showed in her 35 years in the Food Service Industry. “She made the best Gnocchi ever”. She was passionate about music and loved to sing. Her gentle loving demeanor touched all who knew our mother. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL 43 Barton St. E. (near James) on Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. with Vigil prayers at 4:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Anthony’s Church on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Ancaster.
