MCMILLAN, Anne (nee BECK) Passed away peacefully, at the Georgetown Hospital on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the age of 85. Loving mother to Karen (Bruce) Beattie of Oakville, Ruth (Ormond) Chalmers of Georgetown and Bill (Karen) McMillan of Barrie. Cherished Momma Gert to grandchildren Jennifer (Dave), Michael (Sarah), Alex, Jonathan, James and Jeffrey and great-grandchildren Madison, Daniel, Jacob, Thomas and Paige. Survived by siblings Don (Pat) and Jack (Bernice) and predeceased by sister Ruth (Kelly) Caplan. Predeceased by parents Don and Gertrude. Anne was the Matriarch of a large extended family who is missed immensely. She faced her illness with a strength and resolve that she had shown throughout her entire life. Private cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), Burlington (905-632-3333), on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow.
