ANTHONY (TONY) GEORGE SHARP It is with great sadness the family of Anthony (Tony) Sharp of Niagara Falls, Ontario, announces his passing on Friday, August 12, 2016, at the age of 75. Tony came to Canada from Hull, England in 1959 at the age of 17. He worked at Stelco for several years. In the early 1970s he joined the Province of Ontario where he worked with both the Ministries of Transportation and Consumer and Commercial Relations. He retired in the 1990s and lived in Ayr, Ontario, before moving to Qualicum Beach, British Columbia. There he enjoyed golfing and served as President of the local golf club. Tony returned to Ontario and moved to Niagara Falls to be closer to his family. Tony’s passion was golfing and travelling. Tony was an avid swimmer and he played both soccer and hockey. He loved sports and was a big fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Hull Tigers. Tony is survived by his daughters Linda McAusland and her husband Gordon of Welland and Karen Gray and her husband Kyle of Waterdown. Grandfather to Amanda, Taylor, Rachel, Nicole and Ryan. Great- grandfather to Benjamin. The family will receive friends at the Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main St., Niagara Falls, on Tuesday, August, 16, 2016 from 1-2 p.m. with a service to celebrate Tony’s life beginning at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Rick Hansen Foundation in Tony’s name would be appreciated.
