PALANGO, Arnold Gordon Peacefully passed away at the Juravinski Hospital on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in his 93rd year. Predeceased earlier this year by his beloved wife of 67 years, Lea. Son of the late Natale Palango and Mary MacLellan. Cherished father of Paul (Sharon), David (Donna), Arlene Falco, Carol-Anne Hoard (late Roy), and Linda Savel (Dave). Proud grandfather of Lindsay (Keith), Virginia (Stefan), Kassia (Bony), Jennica (Steve), Michael, Madison, Mark (Stephanie), Matthew, K.C. and great-grandfather of the late Blake, Nathan, Emilia, Bianca, Mason and Nolan. Predeceased by his sisters Nora and Betty, brothers Joe, Mimi, and Dave. Survived by siblings Ernie, Laura (George) and Vince and sisters-in-law Josie and Angie Peres. He will be dearly missed by the extended Palango and Borsellino families. Arnold was a past president of Local 6308 of U.S.W.A. for Canadian Liquid Air. He was always the life of the party, quick witted and a master storyteller. He was an accomplished athlete, top bowler and lived and breathed the New York Yankees. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Juravinski Hospital, especially Germaine, and the staff at Deerview Crossing. Visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME , 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers at 3:15 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 128 Edgemont Street South on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
