ASKEY, Patricia Colburn (nee Johnston) 1929-2016 Sadly we announce the passing of Patricia on Friday, August 12, 2016 at the age of 87. Loving wife of Dr. Derek Askey and cherished mother to Tony, Doria and Jay. Dear step-mother of Paul and Susan and beloved grandmother of Derek Jr., Isabelle and Ursula. She will be greatly missed by her many friends, family and students. With her love of music, she studied under the well renowned Reginald Godden and received her A.R.C.T. from The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto in 1951 and then went on to inspire her piano students for many years in the Halton region including Michael Danna. She also worked as a lab technician for various hospitals. A Service of Remembrance of her life will be held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 1371 Elgin Street, Burlington, on Friday, August 19, 2016 with reception to follow.
