AUDREY MAY DAVIES January 16, 1925 – December 28, 2016 Audrey left us peacefully last week after providing life, love and leadership to everyone whose life she touched for nearly 92 years. She joins her husband Bob who died in January 2009. Audrey, known as Mama to her family was born in Toronto, 1925. At a young age she had a budding carrier as a Dancer and Acrobat. At the age of 13 she became the first Majorette of the Toronto Argonauts. Her dance career continued and soon she was producing the halftime shows for the Argo’s where she developed a very special group of ladies called the Shellettes who became the featured performers, Audrey was a great mentor to these ladies and they continue to express their love and gratitude to Audrey right up to her 90th Birthday celebration. Later in life Audrey found love with Bob Davies and we became a blended family. Mama’s children: John (Buzz) Wells and Jane Welch (Frank deceased) (Mathew Barnes), grandchildren: Tiffany and Trevor Welch and Cameron (Karen) Wells and Stephen (Sarah) Wells. Step-mother to Bob’s children: Gordon Davies, (Sharon) and Victoria Davies (Jim), grandchildren: Mara, Raymond, Tammy and Kim. The family will come together to honour Mama …”Just one more time”.
