BARBARA ANN BROWN December 1, 1936 – January 8, 2017 On Sunday, January 8, 2017, Barbara passed peacefully in her 80th year at the palliative care unit of The Scarborough Hospital. The family would like to thank all of the staff there who made Mom so comfortable during her final journey. We are also thankful for the residents and staff of Cedarbrook Lodge, where she made many friends and enjoyed new experiences during the past 4 years. Barbara resided in the Curran Hall Community for 46 years, where neighbors knew her best for her award-winning garden and beautiful works of stained glass art. Friends will remember her outgoing personality, unique sense of style and feisty spirit. Shared memories of the time Barbara spent with her friends going to the theater, breakfast club, curling and painting are a source of comfort to her family during this time of bereavement. Barbara now joins her husband of 49 years, William, who passed in 2006. She is survived by loving children Bradley and Lauren, grandson Gabriel and sister Kathleen. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation to share memories at McDougall and Brown Scarborough Chapel, 2900 Kingston Rd., M1M 1N5, on Sunday, January 15th, from 2-5 p.m.
