BARBARA JOAN BROWN Peacefully at the Markham Stouffville Hospital on Friday, August 5, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Alan. Loving mother of Maureen (Ed), Gail (Ian), Joanne, James (Tina) and David (Shelley) and step-mother of April (Bruce). Doting grandmother of Derek (Breanne), Devin, Chase, Sara, Alexandra, Grace, Zachariah, Tabitha and Sabrina and proud great-grandmother of Ross, William, Finn and Aurora. Sadly missed by her brothers and sisters. Predeceased by her first husband Ross Mitchell, her much loved son Brian and her cherished granddaughter Katrina. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff at the Markham Stouffville Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion. Visitation will be held at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME (28 Old Kingston Rd., Ajax, 905-428-8488) on Monday, August 8th from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 9th at 11:00 a.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the charity of your choice.
