Joan passed away surrounded by family on March 20, 2017 at Brampton Civic Hospital at the age of 86. Loving wife to George for 40 years. Stepmother to Georgette and her husband Geoff Christian, Dan and his wife Judy(deceased ), Chris and her husband Fred Baldwin, and Sherry and her husband Scott Kennedy. Nanny will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Mike (Paul), Kathy (Luke), Melanie (Darren), Dusty (Eileen), Jamie, Ian (Yukari), Adam, Heather, and great-grandchildren Aaron, Joshua, Emma and Chelsea. Survived by her brother Jim Chattenton and his wife Jean in Washington, England
Family and friends will be received at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre, 8190 Dixie Rd., Brampton (N. of Steeles Ave., 905-456-8190) on Friday March 24, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday March 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m in the funeral home chapel, with visitation one hour prior. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation
