BARRYANDREWS

BARRY ANDREWS It is with sadness that we share the news of the passing of Barry (Bud) Raymond Russell Andrews in his 75th year. Barry died at home on March 30, 2017 after a private struggle with a lung illness. Barry was an outdoorsman, fisherman, athlete, handyman and sports fan, with a sense of humour and a big heart. He was a devoted family man and a generous and loyal friend. He pursued a career in banking for over 30 years before becoming a Real Estate Appraiser. He has enjoyed enduring friendships from Thornhill High School and Central-Guaranty Trust. For the last 15 years, he enjoyed all the benefits of retirement life, travelling with his wife of 51 years, Sylvie, and spending time at their island paradise on Lake Caughnawana, where he was a longtime member at the Caughnawana Fishing & Hunting Club. Barry leaves a large extended family who will miss him dearly, including Arlene, Bill, Lyndy, Donna, Eileen, Michael, Tracey, Tamara, Christie, Steve, Mikayla, Hayden, Kyle, Danielle, Jannette, Mark, Nicholas, Joëlle, Jean-Marie, Brigitte, Christian, Daniel, Genevieve, all the nieces and nephews in France, Michèle, Todd, Rob, Rick and Erin and his three grandchildren Madeleine, Noëlle and Jack. He was predeceased by his dear sister Carolynn and his parents Irene (Taylor) and Russell Andrews, who were active members of the Town of Richmond Hill. Family and friends will share stories and raise a glass to Barry on the afternoon of Saturday, April 8, 2017 at The Summit Golf Club in Richmond Hill from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. Please dress casually. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Barry’s honour to Parkinson Canada, Crohn’s & Colitis Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society .
