BENNETT, Lois Caroline (nee Taylor) It is with great sadness that the family of Lois Bennett announces the passing of their much-loved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother at the age of 85 on August 16, 2016 at St. Peter’s Hospital, Hamilton. Predeceased by her husband of 52 years Ross T. Bennett (2006) and son Henry Robert (Bob) (1994). Incredible mother of Bob, Jennifer, Julie, and David (Tracey); mother-in-law to Louise (Craig). She will be missed by her children; grandchildren Ashley (Mike), Lyndsey (Nick), Christina, Amanda, Kieran, Riley and Liam; great-grandchildren Lily, Addison and Raiden; and sister-in-law Margaret. The youngest of five sisters, she grew up with a love of music, sewing and the outdoors. Lois loved to spend summers at the cottage on Lake Huron and was well known for her famous cookies and baking. Special thanks to the wonderful staff of the Hamilton General Hospital and St. Peter’s Hospital for their outstanding care, kindness and compassion. A private family service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the HWDSB Foundation, TDL Children’s Foundation or a charity of your choice in memory of Lois would be appreciated
