DAVIS, Bernard With sadness, the family of Bernard Harpley Davis, announce his passing on July 3, 2017 in his 98th year. Husband of Mary Kathleen Davis (deceased) for 66 wonderful years. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his sister Vera McKenzie and his niece Margaret Mader and his children Chris ( Winsome), Anne (Bud deceased) and Ron (deceased). Treasured poppa to Jonathan (Susie), Lydia (Jamie) Souter, Jeremy (Natalie) Appleyard, Erin Appleyard, Kristen (Karl) El Koura, Graeme (Emily) Appleyard. His family grew to include six cherished great-grandchildren, Joshua, Alfred, Evelyn, Annabel, Madeleine, and Beverly. Also missed by sister-in-law Merilyn Sim. He enjoyed a successful engineering career at Robertson Building Systems, and travelled worldwide. He spent 5 years in the RCAF in Britain during WWII where he met his war bride Mary Kathleen Harvey. A celebration of his life will be held at DODSWORTH & BROWN ANCASTER CHAPEL on September 29, 2017 starting visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service conducted by his son Rev. Chris Davis. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to Bob Kemp Hospice or the Warplane Heritage Museum.
