MIHALIC, Branko It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Branko, surrounded by his family, after a brief battle with cancer, at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice on February 22, 2017 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Andrasic) for 48 years. Loving father of Julie Marinic (Rob). Cherished Deda of Rachel and Alex. Dear brother of Cveta Brahovic (the late Sabo) of Slovenia, Zora Zver (Ivan), Milka Galovic, the late Josip Mihalic (Kata) of Croatia, Blaz Mihalic (Dragica). Branko will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, Croatia and the United States. He was a retired employee of Stelwire after 25 years of dedicated service, member of Holy Cross Senior Club and loved to sing to his friends, family and co-workers. Special thanks to St. Joseph’s Hospital and the nurses and PSWs of Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their exceptional care. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME , 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 7:15 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice or Holy Cross Church.
