BODO, Brownie Barna With broken hearts we announce the passing of Brownie on Friday, May 19, 2017 in his 82nd year, after a brief illness at the Hamilton General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband, best friend, and constant companion of Tilda (nee Tokos) for 55 wonderful years. Cherished father of Barry and Annette Bodo, Lisa and Eric Deys, beloved Papa of E.J., Deanna, Dayna, Rebecca, Brock, Mitchell and Nicholas. Dear brother of Leslie Bodo, predeceased by brother Louis, sisters-in-law Helen and Marianne. Loved uncle to many nephews and nieces. Lovingly remembered by cousins Irene and Nick Toldi, Helen Rock (Marv), Grace and George Meszaros, predeceased by Helen and Ernie Hollo. Brownie will be missed by many dear friends. Brownie worked at Szabo Motors, Firestone Canada, and operated his own small cleaning business until his recent illness. He was a lifelong member and elder of John Calvin Hungarian Presbyterian Church. Visitation at Truscott, Brown & Dwyer Funeral Chapel 1309 King St. E. (at the Delta, opposite Gage Park) on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 2-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at John Calvin Hungarian Presbyterian Church (121 Birch Ave) on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. by Reverend Paul Kantor. Interment in Woodland Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to John Calvin Church Memorial Fund would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
