CATERINA SCAVUZZO With sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Caterina on December 25, 2016 at the age of 84. Reunited with her beloved husband Salvatore (March 3, 2010), Caterina leaves behind her cherished daughter Connie (Croce) and her husband Terry. Proud nonna to Andrew and Diana. She will be missed by her brother Salvatore (Tanina) Giglio (Italy) and her sisters- in-law Franca, Pasqualina and Marianna. Caterina will forever be in the hearts of her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.), on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Nicholas of Bari Church (1277 St. Clair Ave. W., west of Dufferin St.), on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery (8361 Yonge St., south of Hwy. 7). In memory of Caterina, donations may be made to either St. Michael’s Hospital or the St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation.
