Peacefully passed away at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Veteran Centre on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the age of 83. Loving brother of Phyllis, George and Ralph. Predeceased by his brothers Tom and Percy and sisters Francis, Daisy, Evelyn and Violet. Loving father of Charles Jr., Steve, Christopher, Robert, William, Cheryl, Patricia and Marjorie. Loving grandfather of Steven, Ashley, Brenda, Tina, Clinton, Terry, Alex, Justin, Cassandra, Devonia, David and Nicolas. Great-grandfather of Sawn, Layla, Alexis, Aviana and Mekena. He will be dearly missed by Ivy McIntyre from Jamaica. I would like to thank the staff at the L wing on the 2nd floor west. I acknowledge their compassion and professional care that Chuck received every day he was at the wing.
Charles was a Combat Veteran of the Korean War and a member the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 75. A memorial service will be held at the Veteran Chapel of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 2 p.m. (2075 Bayview Ave., Toronto, 416-480-6100). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 75. –
