NICZOWSKI, CHRIS RISTO April 16, 1935: Tryse, Macedonia – June 9, 2021: Woodbridge, Ontario Beloved Husband, Tate, Dedo, Uncle and friend. Risto passed away peacefully at his home. Risto loved his family like no other, his dedication as a husband, Tate and Dedo was his destiny. Risto created a loving beautiful family alongside his wife Vana Francis (Tzongova) over 70 years of true love.

Together they raised two beautiful daughters Susan (Chris) and Svetlana (Gus). Beloved Dedo to his pride and joys Sonya, Dina and Stephanie. He devoted his life to raise and love his family after coming to Canada in 1962 from Poland (Desta Begalci) where he graduated from the University of Lodz as a Mechanical Engineer P. Eng. Risto worked as an Engineer until he retired and then took on the role of one of the founders and pillars of Summerfresh Salads Inc. He was a dedicated Macedonian who took pride in his nationality and the human rights of Macedonians. Risto was an author of two autobiographies written for the Macedonian people and their hardships and journeys.

He was a lover of nature, avid hunter, fisherman and artist, and spent some of his best years at the cottage surrounded by family and friends. Risto was a proud Macedonian who kept his ties close to his community. Risto will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and will eternally be admired by his wife, daughters and granddaughters. Scheduled visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd., 905-850-3332), on Friday, June 11, 2021, by RSVP only.

The Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Chapel on Saturday, June 12th at 12:30 p.m. Please be advised that due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the service will be held privately for immediate family members only, with a private burial to follow at Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane St., north of Steeles Ave.).
