D’ANGELO, Clelio Born in Ortona, Italy on September 3, 1932 Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, April 17, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Devoted husband of Natalina for over 55 years. Loving father of Maria Concetta and Fabrizio and cherished father-in-law of Robin and Dina. Adored Nonno to Christopher, Andrew and Nicholas. Predeceased by his parents Raffaele and Concetta, his parents-in-law Guiseppe and Anna Bucco, brother Antonio, brothers-in-law Elisio larlori in Italy, and Pasquale Bucco and sister-in-laws Teresa D’Angelo and Pierina D’Angelo. Dear brother of Tommaso and brother-in-law of Lucia D’Angelo, Vito and Anna Bucco, Desiderato (Danny) D’Angelo, Maria Iarlori in Italy and Lucia Bucco. Loving Zio Clelio to numerous nieces and nephews in Italy and in Canada. Dad was a very simple man who most cherished the time spent with family sharing a meal, going on a vacation, and having a few laughs. He especially enjoyed sitting on the front veranda with his neighbour Vincenzo, having an espresso or a glass of wine and solving the world’s problems. His other favourite pastimes were sitting under his gazebo, attending to his garden and playing with his best friend Georgie the budgie. Clelio was a proud retired employee of Ford Motor Company in Oakville where he worked for 34 years. Thank you to Urologist Dr. Kapoor and to the doctors, nurses and support staff at CTU West at St. Joseph’s Hospital and a special thank you to Kim and Bonnie from the Nephrology Unit at the Juravinski Tower. A sincere expression of gratitude to intern doctor Liam Crummey whose encouragement and compassion gave strength to dad in his final days. Visitation at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis Xavier Church, 304 #8 Highway, Stoney Creek on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Woodland Cemetery, Burlington. Donations to St. Joseph’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
