CLAIRMONT, Clyde The family announces with sorrow Clyde Clairmont’s death on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 with family at his side at the Welland Hospital at the age of 67, after a short battle with cancer. He has left on a journey to be reunited with his mother, Doris (Crosman) Clairmont and Conrad Clairmont who predeceased him in 2001 and his furry friendly companion Holly who passed in June 2017. He leaves to mourn his partner of 20 years Dayle Solivo and their dogs Spike and Maya, her daughters Melissa Henderson of Toronto, and Marnie (Steve) Henderson of Ottawa. He also leaves to mourn his sister Colleen Landers (Mike) of Timmins, niece Shelley McGee (Murray) and her children Tyler McGee of Mississauga and Trevor McGee of Timmins, Lisa (James) Gazzola and their children Ava and Aaron of Mississauga, David (Peggy) Landers and their children Michaela and Keeley of Lucan. He also leaves to mourn his brother Curtis (Brenda) Clairmont and their children Samantha of Waterloo and Lindsey (Shamus) Clairmont of Kitchener. Clyde was a Timmins Police Constable for 3 years and then went to the RCMP from March 1979 as a Sergeant and retired on March 14, 2011 with 32 years of service. Clyde was a Legion member for 46 years. Clyde was a kind and generous man and lived an adventurous life and loved to travel. He loved to ride his motorcycle and do house renovations. His dream retirement home in Florida was purchased in August 2016 but his life was cut short so he did not get to enjoy it. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
