COOPER, George Lloyd “Big George” 1928-2016 After a lengthy illness, George passed away peacefully at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice on July 12, 2016. Beloved husband of Rosemarie (nee Nimigan) for 67 years. Loving father of Gary (Barbara Ann) of Vernon, BC, Richard (Angie) of Mississauga, and Brenda Daw (John) of Hamilton. Cherished poppa of Stephen (Liann), David, Adam (Thuy), Amanda (Andrew), Alyse (Jamie), Cara (Dan), Carlie (Peter), and Kim (Kyal). Proud great-poppa of eight, two of whom carry his name. Survived by his sisters Dorothy, Eileen, Marj and Eleanor. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to all the health care providers for their care and support. “Let me leave no grave to weep over. Scatter my ashes to the wind to help the flowers grow. Let me blow free, unfettered by the bonds of the earth, warmed in the sun, and soothed by the gentle rains. Let me dance to the music of the wind . ” As per George’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
