Daisy ROBERTS

Daisy Roberts (nee Hugh), of Markham, ON, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on August 19, 2016 (age 72). She was born in Mandeville, Jamaica, on August 13, 1944 to her predeceased parents Thomas and Moy Lee Hugh. Daisy was predeceased by her husband Ian “Beany”. She is survived by her children Mark (wife Sarah) and Melina (husband HJ), her 3 grandchildren Addison, Lily and Cassandra and her sisters Delsie, Pansy and Lucy, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings Joyce, Leslie and Jimmy. Daisy will be remembered for her kind and generous heart and her smile that would light up a room. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Daisy has generously donated her body to University of Toronto Department of Anatomy. The funeral service will be held at St. Patrick’s Parish, 5633 Hwy. 7, Markham, ON L3P 1B6, on Thursday, August 25th at 1:00 p.m. A memorial will be held that evening at Markham Museum, 9350 Hwy. 48, at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Daisy Roberts’ name to York-Durham Aphasia Centre would be appreciated (https://goo.gl/PZDKJv).
