DaliceLIVINGSTON

LIVINGSTON, Dalice 1930 – 2017 Passed away peacefully in her sleep at her son’s home on June 22, 2017. Dalice was born Dora Alice Maud Lloyd on April 21, 1930 in Assam, India, to parents Stanley and Dora Lloyd, whom at the time were overseers of a tea plantation. She met her now deceased husband, Hamish Livingston, when they were both dancers in London, England. They married, had two children Bruce and Liv (Tina), immigrated to Canada in 1957 and settled in Don Mills, Ontario. Her faith was at the core of who she was and guided her and her husband’s lives, both becoming Elders at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church and leaders in the Cursillo Movement. After her husband’s death in 1981 she enjoyed a career as a Court Matron, serving at the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto, until she retired. Dalice was a much-loved and active member at St. Mark’s for more than 55 years. She had a gift and felt a calling to serve by volunteering in the Palliative Care sector, which she did tirelessly for many years. She leaves behind her beloved grandsons Hamish and Jack LaCroix, son Bruce Livingston and daughter Livingston (Liv) LaCroix. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 8th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church, 1 Greenland Rd., North York. In lieu of flowers, donations to: Matthews House Hospice, PO Box 10060, Alliston, ON L9R 0B7.
