TONAJ, Daniel Jason It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel (Dan) Jason Tonaj, beloved son, brother and uncle. Daniel passed at his home in Kitchener, Ontario on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the age of 38. He will be forever missed by his parents Gloria Zoratti, Mark and Debbie Tonaj. Dan was adored by his sisters Melissa, Chantal, Eryn, Devon and Sarah; admired by his nephews Owen and Keaton; cherished by his grandparents Marty and Pauline Tonaj, Clelia the late Jerry Zoratti, Ruth and Gerry LaFreniere, his aunts and uncles Joe and Sue (godparents), Paul and Cindra, Larry and Monica, Marino and Denise, Michael and Sandra, and the late Sandy and Denise, as well as his many cousins, extended family and friends. Daniel was born on February 28, 1979 in Hamilton. Dan loved sports, with a particular fondness for hockey and golf. A musical maestro, Dan was always excited to serenade his family and friends at any occasion. When he wasn’t toiling away on large-scale home improvement projects, Dan loved to sing and socialize with friends at Tracie’s Place Restaurant and Karaoke in Hamilton. A skilled handyman, Dan often spent weekends assisting family and friends with home projects, expecting nothing in return aside from quality time with those he loved most. Visitation will be held at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME , 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, Ontario, L8W 3M2 on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Incarnation of Our Blessed Lord Roman Catholic Church, 400 Pottruff Road North, Hamilton, Ontario, L8H 2M4. at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make memorial donations in memory of Daniel to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
