David Herbert FROST
FROST, David Herbert December 28, 1938-February 21, 2017 David Frost of Grimsby, Ontario passed away suddenly after a long and happy life. David was the husband of Helen-Anne (nee McCabe) for 53 years and father of Grant (Michaelle) Frost of Brantford and Laura (John) Marucci of Grimsby. Proud grandfather of Joseph and Samantha Marucci and McCabe and Emmerson Frost. Dear brother of Stanley Frost of Welland and Paul Frost of Crystal Beach and the late Douglas Frost of Welland, Patricia Comhaire of Grimsby and Margaret Joyce Smith of Fonthill. Uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. David was born in Welland and moved to Grimsby for work in the 1950s. Dave opened Dave Frost Shoes on Main Street in Grimsby and ran the store until the 1980s. Dave opened the Niagara Region Grimsby Senior Citizens Daycare program where he loved his job and spent his final working years improving the lives of seniors in Grimsby and the surrounding Niagara Region. He was heavily involved in the community and local politics. He was a kind, loving man with a happy optimistic view of the world and he will be deeply missed. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Sunday, February 26, 2017, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., where the Funeral Service will take place on Monday, February 27, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
