DERMOT FRANCIS CHRISTOPHER
October 28, 1935 – November 13, 2016
It is with deep sadness that Christina Elspeth (nee Sheppard) announces the death of her dearly beloved husband of 47 years, who passed peacefully away in his sleep at home. Dermot was my best friend and true love. He leaves to mourn sisters Ramona Urbenz (Michael), Thelma Dunphy, and Elizabeth Payne (George); sisters-in-law Louise and Gloria; many nieces and nephews who will dearly miss their Uncle Dermie who shared many memories with them over the years; as well as a large extended family. Predeceasing him are his parents Frederick Leo and Evelyn May Christopher and brothers Frederick Junior and his wife Florence, Edwin, and Malcolm. What is there to say about a wonderful, loving husband who always had a good word about everyone. The bottom has fallen out of my world because Dermot was my world. I know he is with his loved ones resting in the arms of his Saviour, and I know that someday we will be together again. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) on Sunday, November 20th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass in ST. ANSLEM CHURCH, 1 MacNaughton Road, East York, Monday, November 21st at 10:30 a.m.
