DIANE J. AFFLECK (nee EARL) August 21, 1950 – August 18, 2016 Beloved wife of 41 years to George Affleck. Devoted mother to James (Lanny) and wife, Miriam and Jennifer and husband, Jordan Webb. Cherished Grandma of Hannah, Naomi, Rebekah, Elijah, Nathaniel, Rachel and Malachi. Born in Huntsville, Ontario and predeceased by parents Stanley Earl and Grace Earl (nee Fowler). Dear sister of Joan Topps (nee Earl), Tom Earl and John Earl. A born again believer and dedicated to her church, Unionville Baptist and Cannington Baptist. She had a deep appreciation for God’s creation and enjoyed walking. A selfless and loving caregiver, Diane was a longtime Registered nurse at York Central Hospital (Mackenzie Health) Richmond Hill. Though she was taken suddenly to her eternal resting place with God, her compassionate and kind spirit to all will never be forgotten. The family will receive guests on Monday, August 22nd from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St. S. in Cannington and on Tuesday, August 23rd from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Unionville Baptist Church, 243 Main St., Unionville, Markham. A service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23rd at Unionville Baptist Church, 243 Main St., Unionville.
