It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Diane on July 9, 2016 at Toronto Western Hospital. Beloved wife of Joe and loving mother to Christian Raposo. Cherished daughter of Mario and Maria Medeiros. Dear sister of Elizabeth (Nick) and loved aunt of nieces Taylor and Grace. Diane is also survived by father and mother-in-law Antonio and Eba Raposo, sister-in-law Eba (Giulio) and brother-in-law Emanuel. Taken too soon, she will also be missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins, both here and in the United States. A kind and gentle soul who loved nothing better than spending time with family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the CCU at Toronto Western Hospital for the wonderful care given to Diane. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation is made to The Critical Care Unit at Toronto Western Hospital to be made in Diane’s memory. Visitation will take place on Wednesday July 13, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst Street, north of Dundas. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 72 Mansfield Avenue, south of College. Entombment to follow at Prospect Cemetery.
