HENDERSON, Donald C. With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Donald C. Henderson in his 85th year on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. He will be dearly missed and was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Don was married to his teenage sweetheart and love of his life, Elizabeth (nee Flett), for 61 years. Together they raised three children, Ian (Wendy), Susan and Carolyn. He was the proud grandfather of three grandchildren, Mattea, Brett and Reeve. Besides his loving wife, children and grandchildren, Don is survived by his sister, Anne Stanfield. He was a Chartered Accountant, who specialized in corporate taxation. Don had a true passion for life, family, golf, reading, music, his beloved swimming pool and was a proud member of the Toronto Hunt Club. Despite being a man of few words, his dry wit was easily recognized and enjoyed by all. Don was a kind, caring and thoughtful husband, father and grandfather. His passing leaves us and all who knew him with wonderful memories. Visitation will be held at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Avenue West, on Friday, September 29th from 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Don’s life will take place in the chapel on Saturday, September 30th at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow.
