STOSIUNAS, Donna (Danute) (nee Daunys) —
Passed away at Labdara Lithuanian Nursing Home on February 19, 2017 in her 87th year. Beloved wife of Leo and loving mother to Birute (Larry) and cherished grandmother of Julia. Donna was predeceased by her daughter Ruta and grandson Christopher. Donna devoted much of her life to raising her special needs daughter Ruta, ensuring that Ruta had every opportunity for a fulfilling life. Donna liked to relax by knitting and crocheting and being with her many friends. Donna was a remarkable woman. She bravely lived through cancer for 40 years. Donna would not let this disease define her, as she lived through it with grace. She will be remembered for her strength, kindness and generosity. We thank the 3rd floor staff at Labdara for their wonderful and attentive care that Donna received, especially at the end of her journey. Thanks also to Dr. Denise Cole for her many years of care. Donna will be resting at the Turner and Porter “Butler” Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. West, Etobicoke, on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Lithuanian Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Resurrection, 1 Resurrection Rd., Toronto, on Monday, February 27th at 11 a.m..
