Dora “Doris” HNATYSHYN
HNATYSHYN, Dora “Doris” Into the arms of her beloved and cherished husband Bill, Doris completed her journey here with us, peacefully, with love surrounding her on March 6, 2017 at the age of 91. Loving mother of Patricia (Jack) Edwards and Robert (Laurel) Hnatyshyn. Cherished Granny of Sherry (Kevin) Hnatyshyn-Webster, Jonathan Edwards, Sarah Edwards, Diana Di Biase and Rebecca (RJ) Steinhoff. Great Granny of Stephanie (Joel) Oliver, Stephen (Nicole) Muir, Joseph Muir, Benjamin Webster, Henryk Steinhoff, Benedikt Steinhoff, Konrad Steinhoff, Jordan Wyborn and Kierstan Wyborn, who were all adored by Doris. Doris worked for many years at Sears and Mohawk Mills. Doris enjoyed the time she spent with Bill as members and joint caretakers at Pioneer Memorial United Church. Special thanks to Dr. Alan Taniguchi, Bayshore PSW’s and all of the staff of Shalom Village for their outstanding care and compassion over the years, and to the Petz family for their constant letters and phone calls. Visitation will be held at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hamilton and Halton Alzheimer Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
