Doreen Ann SPENCER

October 14, 1934 – April 18, 2017
With grace and dignity, Doreen passed away on Tuesday, April 18th after a short illness. She was predeceased by her cherished husband, William (Bill) Spencer and her brothers Edward and Murray Gallagher. She was a devoted and caring aunt to Michael (Patti), Mary-Anne (Robert Hartman), Paul (Nancy), Maureen (Darryl Paxton), Philip (Patricia), Linda (Tracy Pugh), Gregory, Stephen (Svetlana), Cathy (Pedro Melchor) and Edward (Alma). Doreen was an amazing great-aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Her sister-in-law Betty Gallagher, her step-daughter Gwen (Brian Ferguson) and step-granddaughter will always hold loving memories of her. Doreen was a longtime employee of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. She had many interests, she loved to travel, enjoyed the National Ballet and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and always had the time to share a glass of wine with her dear friends both old and new. While her passing brings us great sorrow. We also have that greatest honour to say she was a sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, step-mother, step-grandmother and true friend.
