PETRIE, Dorothy Louise —
It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Dorothy on September 17, 2016, aged 91, at her home in Mississauga. She was the beloved wife of Bill for over 68 years. She was the loved mother of Scott (Linda), Bob (Herma), Diane, the late Gordon (Susan) and David. She was the adored Nanie of Bryan, Julie, Jordan (Ferrin), Sean, David, Adam, Alison (Cory), Rachel (Tyler) and Stephanie and great-grandmother to Briar and Everett. Bill and Dorothy had a wonderful life together. They skied, played golf and were active in Bill’s business adventures. Dorothy was a longtime member of Credit Valley Golf Club and a member of Clarkson Road Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Neweduk-Erin Mills” Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (just east of Erin Mills Pkwy.) on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 10 a.m. until time of service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. A reception will be held at Credit Valley Golf Club following the service. A private family burial will be held. In lieu of flowers, Dorothy has requested donations be made to Ian Anderson House or Clarkson Road Presbyterian Church.
