LAWRENCE, Dorothy R.N. March 29, 1940 – March 11, 2017 The love story of 63 years came to a remarkable end on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Dorothy (nee McMaster) Lawrence, best friend and soul mate to James Lawrence, married 55 years. The story began as Prom Queen marrying Professional Baseball Player. The legacy of a loving family continued with Danny and Terre, and Julie Ann and Cameron; followed by grandchildren (Mitchell, Macgregor, Mattie, Emerson, Cooper, Brodan, Sawyer, Megan and Coleman). Dorothy was a lover of life who was most content when with her “Jimbo”. Dorothy was known for her caring soul which began as a Registered Nurse (Hamilton General, Class of 1961). She was a keen business woman and co-owner of Lawrence’s Sporting Goods. Her wonderful smile, endless hugs and a great laugh were infectious to all who knew her and the lives she touched. Dorothy had endless gratitude for all who have assisted her, in particular Drs. Robertson and Phillips, the visiting PSWs from St. Elizabeth’s and the 3rd floor nursing staff the West Haldimand General Hospital. Visitation will be held in the Miller Funeral Chapel, Caledonia, on Wednesday, March 16, 2017 from 6 – 9 p.m. followed by the service in the chapel on Thursday, March 16 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Paul’s Anglican Church or the West Haldimand General Hospital would be appreciated. www.millerfuneralchapel.ca
