DOUGLAS ARTHUR QUIRT With the only regret of being unable to spend more time with all of his children who were the meaning of his life, it is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the tragic yet dignified passing of Douglas Arthur Quirt on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga. Doug was the most generous person who strived to help others through his legal profession, his devotion to the community and of course his many, many friendships. The best friend and loving spouse of Arlene, the best father in the world to Ryan (Lindsay), Jules (Paul), Trish (Clint) and Charlotte “Puddin” and grandfather to Keira. Doug will be missed dearly by big sister Sheila “The Kid”, brother- in-law David and his many nieces, nephews and great- nephews and niece. Your boisterous laugh could not be mistaken and your ability to live life to its fullest and to always “do your best” will be hard to carry on, but we promise you we will try. Doug was cremated and a funeral service was not held as per his wishes. We have been so blessed to have known and loved you and will never ever forget you. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and personal support workers of the VON who provided care and compassion to Doug and his family.
