McKELVIE, Douglas Kenneth Passed away peacefully in his 91st year, surrounded by his loving family at Joseph Brant Hospital on Friday March 3, 2017. Loving husband to Christine. Predeceased by loving wife Bernice. Loving father of James, Jane (Murray) Slote, Michael (Jan), Janice (John) Perrault. Doug will be sadly missed by grandchildren Christine, Matthew (Lindsay), Brett (Christine), Kyle (Tessa), Jason (Jennifer), Jennifer and great-grandchildren Austin, Caitlyn, Reese, Caden, Cyril, Anthony, Archer, Henry, Weston, Evelyn and Gabriel. Also Step sons Terry (Kate), Timmy, Thomas (Lily) and step-grandchildren Matt, Phil, Alex, Rebecca, Jacob, Adaya. Survived by his brother Ed (Mel) and predeceased by Gordon (May). Doug was an avid golfer and a Lifetime member of Primetime Boxing. Doug will be remembered for his hard work ethic and his dynamic personality. The family will receive friends at DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ANCASTER CHAPEL, 378 Wilson St. East (905-648-3852 www.dbancaster.ca ) on Tuesday, March 7 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, March 8 at 1.00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. A special thanks to EMS and the caring staff at Joseph Brant.
