BRIDGES, Edith (nee Ward) —
February 22, 1924 – July 26, 2016
Passed away quietly at Lakeshore Lodge, Toronto. Beloved wife of the late Arthur E. Bridges. Dear mother of James (deceased), Robert, Wallace and Linda (Roger Begin). Nana will be sadly missed by Kristian, Nicole, Daniel (Jen) and Bridget and great-grandchildren Saoirse, Eve and Sienna. Will also be missed by Deenie Flannery and Elva Stewart. Survived by one sister Harriet Patterson, the last of the eight Ward girls. Edith proudly served at a young age with the Canadian Air Force during WWII. Also a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 344. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (at 14th St., between Islington and Kipling Aves., 416-259-3705) on Friday, July 29th from 4 to 9 p.m. Cremation and Inurnment will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
